Last night (Nov. 2), Tony Khan shared the news that Jon Moxley was entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program.
While there are certainly questions about how this will affect AEW’s plans, the important thing is obviously Moxley’s health, and the impact this will have on his wife Renee Paquette, and their four month old daughter Nora. Most people have kept that in perspective, and social media’s been full of supportive messages for Mox & his family.
Paquette took a moment this morning to share her gratitude for her husband’s decision to put their collective well-being first, and the wrestling community’s reaction.
Thanks for this outpouring of support. Jon is every bit of the badass we all know him to be. I couldn’t be more proud of him for getting to proper help he needs, and being given the space to put his health first. Couldn’t possibly love this man more ❤️

As someone who’s been in a very similar situation to the one Moxley’s in today, I’m among those who have been thinking of him, Renee, and their family & friends. There’s hard work ahead for them all, but it’s absolutely worth it - and if you’ve heard Mox talk about their daughter in any of the interviews he’s done in support of his just released autobiography, you can tell he believes that. Renee’s statement makes it clear she does, too.
