AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 3

Awaiting my last breath, the mirror calls my name. It’s showing me the way into the dark. The bridge appears, I jump into the dark side and hear the voice it’s cold as ice. “Welcome to reality.” Where am I now? Liveblogging this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens into the intro video.

Alan Angels vs. Kenny Omega

Angels coming out the gates hot but Omega cuts him off and starts chopping him down! Choking him in the ropes, thumb in the eye, back suplex but Alan lands on his feet, Kenny goes for the Dragon suplex but it gets reversed into an arm drag! Kotaro Krusher connects, punt to the ribs!

Off the ropes, dropping him with a boot, calling for it, Angels sidesteps and starts to overwhelm him on the floor but Omega turns him around and rams him into the barricade! Alan with an Orihara moonsault, back inside with a diving crossbody... NO! Kenny with the underhooks, Angels drops to a knee to block!

Leg kicks for right hands, One-Winged Angel reversed into a folding press, V-Trigger... ANGELS KICKS OUT! Kenny presses the attack...

Kenny Omega wins by pinfall.

Post-match, Kenny gets on the mic and says Alan Angels got a good little opportunity but as god of pro wrestling he’s got the power to giveth and to take away, and he calls Michael Nakazawa to bring him a chair. Electric chair— HANGMAN PAGE MAKES THE SAVE!

Omega goes to use the chair on Page but Angels yanks it away from him and Adam lines him up for Buckshot but Kenny rolls away and to the floor!

Commentary hypes up tonight’s show for us.

Malakai Black gets a promo package where he asks why men of power think their decisions serve more than their own interest, and Tony Khan barring him from ringside isn’t going to change anything. He adds that when Julius Caesar was murdered, it wasn’t just Marcus that betrayed him.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, CM Punk makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

Fans chant for him and he says he doesn’t want to hear his name right now and he’s not really in the best mood. He wants to talk to us seriously for a moment, and there’s two people that aren’t here today, and one of them has a very legitimate reason for not being here today and that’s the name he wants to hear, Jon Moxley.

The crowd obliges with a Moxley chant and Punk says he’ll spend all his time listening to the crowd chant for Mox because it’s important to him, and they have some history and they’re not the best of friends but when he had the situation explained to him and he knows what it’s like to go and go and go and show up sick to work and get injuries compounded and he doesn’t want anyone to criticize Jon Moxley because he is goddamn proud of him.

And if anybody here or watching on television, if you’re in a place where you think you need help, get it. Ask for it, reach out, text somebody, call somebody, there’s nothing more courageous you can do. There are times in his career when he should have asked for help but he didn’t because he thought he was a tough guy and he paid for it.

This brings him to the second name who isn’t here, Eddie Kingston. Last week he interrupted him and he doesn’t like being interrupted. He doesn’t know what fabricated beef is in his head that happened years ago, but there’s nothing there, and if Eddie’s got the balls he’s got the time and he’ll accept his apology in St. Louis.

Miro cuts a promo asking god if he’s helping him or toying with him to put him in this tournament match, because he has to prove himself to him, like he has to prove himself to her, and his road home is paved with the skulls of those who dared to stand before him. He will be forgiven, and he will be loved, and then he’ll forgive god.

And now, we go to break.

Back from commercial, Adam Cole and the Young Bucks are interviewed backstage.

Cole says last week was a fluke and Nick Jackson says they’re tough guys and they’re not afraid of anything, but he flinches when Christian Cage rolls up and lays hands on him. Matt Jackson threatens him and points out he’s outnumbered, Luchasaurus rolls up behind him, the Bucks try to back off but a brawl breaks out and spills out into the arena!

They brawl and the Elite seem to stand tall for a moment... JUNGLE BOY WITH A DIVE OFF THE STAGE TO TAKE THEM ALL OUT! CHRISTIAN SPEARS MATT ON THE STAGE! Looking for the Killswitch but Nick cuts him off with a superkick! Cole crawls out of the entry tunnel and Luchasaurus cuts the Bucks off!

HE CHOKESLAMS NICK INTO MATT! SNARE TRAP ON ADAM COLE! CAGE HAS CHAIRS... CON-CHAIR-TO ON COLE!

We get a video package for the AEW TBS Championship tournament matchup between Ruby Soho and Kris Statlander.

Aerostar & Samuray Del Sol vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (c) (AAA World Tag Team Championship)

Del Sol and Wheeler to start, Cash rams him into the corner and breaks dirty but Samuray ducks every shot! Handspring into a Frankensteiner, dropkick city, off the ropes but FTR bail and take a breather. Tags made, Aerostar slingshots in for no particular reason and does a bunch of flips, which leads Harwood to flip him off in turn.

Punches and kicks in the corner, big chops, big lucha dives from the challengers! Aerostar goes for a double Frankensteiner, no dice and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Aerostar lays Wheeler out with a diving headbutt, tag to Del Sol, diving crossbody for two! Leg kicks, evasions, Aerostar going for the double senton, assisted dropkick! Hurricanranas from both challengers... NOPE! Darby Allin watching from somewhere dark, bodyscissors takes Harwood to the floor, Samuray and Cash jockeying for position, standing shiranui, Aerostar slingshots in... HARWOOD BREAKS IT UP!

Dax counters a dive and hits a sheerdrop brainbuster on Del Sol on the floor! Aerostar slides in, victory roll reversed...

FTR win by pinfall with a victory roll and a handful of tights from Cash Wheeler on Aerostar to retain the AAA World Tag Team Championship.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone presents Hikaru Shida with her trophy for 50 wins.

Nyla Rose rolls up to congratulate her and say she’s hit a full-on roadblock because she’s got her in the tournament and it’s gonna be an easy night for them.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, the Inner Circle make their entrance.

Chris Jericho gets on the mic and puts Sammy Guevara over for winning his match against “All Ego” Ethan Page and says now they get to choose which members of American Top Team face them at Full Gear in a ten-man street fight.

Enter American Top Team.

Dan Lambert comes out and protests that his face isn’t even that fat when Jericho tries to get chants going. He demands some respect and has referee Aubrey Edwards run the open contract to the ring for the Inner Circle to pick who they’re gonna wrestle.

Lambert introduces their choices— Andrei Arlovski, Junior Dos Santos, and two dudes from Bellator, and quotes the Road Warriors and says they snack on danger and dine on death.

Jericho encourages Jake Hager to make the first pick, and he picks Junior Dos Santos and says he doesn’t want to say he looks stupid, but he looks like Popeye and they’re gonna drop him faster than his last fight. Santana picks Andrei Arlovski and asks what happens when he doesn’t have rules and regulations to protect him?

Dan tells them, before they make selection number three, he points out that Jericho said some dirty stuff about Paige VanZant and her husband is among the options, but Paige steps in and says she doesn’t need a man to fight her battles and her schedule is wide open on November 13, and there’s no Instagram filter that can hide the beating she’ll give him.

She makes a joke about tight pants and balls and Jericho says if she wants to take on all five of them at once she can put it on her OnlyFans page. Ortiz says something in Spanish and Sammy Guevara translates it as she’s a bitch.

Jericho gets things back on track and says Paige can hold her own and her kitty-whipped husband is great or they could pick... the other guy, but they pick the number one guy in American Top Team... DAN LAMBERT!

Lambert loses his mind at being selected and tries to weasel out but there’s nowhere to go!

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Matt Sydal, Lee Moriarty, Dante Martin, and Lio Rush.

Sydal congratulates Martin on beating him on Friday and if he wants to train with Lio that’s fine, but plenty of people want to train with him, like Lee Moriarty, and he challenges them to a tag team match. Rush accepts!

Anna Jay vs. Jamie Hayter (AEW TBS Championship Tournament First Round Match)

Collar and elbow, off the ropes, headlock takeover from Jay, reversed to a headscissors, side headlock, Hayter wrenches it in. Action to the floor, Anna kicks her in the barricade, back inside, Jamie stumbles but manages to kick her and take her off balance as we go to break.

Back from commercial, trading punches, off the ropes, Jay with mat slams, smashing Hayter’s face into the turnbuckles, DDT... NOT ENOUGH! A little distraction from Rebel and Dr. Britt Baker, DMD...

Jamie Hayter wins by pinfall with a short-arm lariat.

Post-match, they go to attack Anna more but Tay Conti makes the save and lays everyone out with forearms and a big boot for Britt! She gets overwhelmed and they’re about to stomp her into the title... THUNDER ROSA MAKES THE SAVE!

Jade Cargill and “Smart” Mark Sterling cut a promo backstage where she says she’s gonna win the TBS Championship and rename it to “That Bitch Show.”

Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his entrance and Tony Schiavone calls him “the big shithead” which cracks my wife and I up.

He stares Darby Allin (still watching in the crowd) down and says they both know that without them the company doesn’t work, and they know who they are and what they’ll become and that is legendary, so why do they boo him and cheer Darby? He’s not deaf, he hears the crowd chanting for Darby every week.

He says he’s a symbol of everything the people want to be but can’t, and Allin is everything they are, an outcast, an incel who can barely string four words together, and he thinks he throws himself around with such abandon because deep down he knows he’s not good enough to be a functioning member of society.

He’s just like them, he’ll never fit in and he’ll never win. And Darbarino, you step in that ring and become a glorified stuntman, and at Full Gear he’ll lose because he’s too weak, and he’s too concerned with battering him and not enough with winning.

And even if he does change his ways, MJF is still a better wrestler than he, and nobody can beat him in the middle of this ring. He’s so much better than Darby that he could beat him with a headlock takeover. (Well I mean it was good enough for Ed “Strangler” Lewis back in the thirties.)

Allin says he admits he’s everything Max said he is, but at Full Gear he’s gonna keep his cool and have a wrestling match. He’s gonna take his anger out on him right now, but MJF walks off up the ramp. Sting and a legion of randos in Darby Allin masks cut him off at the pass!

Wardlow and Shawn Spears brawl with Sting and the Darby masks on the stage, Friedman leaps the barricade and brawls with Allin in the crowd! Darby puts him into the barricade, running start... CACTUS CLOTHESLINE OVER THE BARRICADE! Back in the ring and up top, but Max wakes up and runs away!

And so we go to break.

Andrade el Idolo vs. Cody Rhodes

Squaring up, Idolo hauls off, Rhodes with a dropdown slap, mounted punches in the corner, whip reversed, both guys end up on the apron and slug it out! Cody cuts him off with a trip and follows back inside. Suplex lift up top, Andrade knocks him down, off the top... COUNTER DROPKICK!

Thinking Cody Cutter but el Idolo shoves him to the floor and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Rhodes with back elbows, el Idolo off the ropes and he runs into another! Lariat, scoop and a running powerslam and Cody is fired up! Andrade nails him with a back elbow and nearly ends it! Putting boots to Rhodes in the corner, Three Amigos with the third one putting Cody into the corner!

Dragging him into position, el Idolo up top, nobody home for the split-legged moonsault! Rhodes with circling jabs, a little Flip, Flop, & Fly! Andrade cuts him off with a boot but Cody picks the leg, reversed, el Idolo drops a “Wooo!” and puts him in the figure four leglock!

Rhodes rolls over to reverse the pressure and goes for a dive... FTR clock him with the AAA titles and roll under the ring! Andrade rolls him back inside, hammerlock...

Andrade el Idolo wins by pinfall with the hammerlock DDT.

Post-match, Tully Blanchard comes to the ring and FTR hold Cody up for Andrade to lay him out with a boot! Arn Anderson comes in and shoves Tully! Blanchard takes his jacket off and the Brain Busters are gonna explode but the Lucha Brothers come down and brawl with FTR!

FTR slip away and we go to break.

Back from commercial, John Silver is interviewed by Tony Schiavone in the ring.

Tony wants him to kick Adam Cole’s ass. Silver cracks about him shaving his head and changing his name and managing the Dark Order and says he’s gonna get the Meat Man on Friday and kick some Budge ass.

Penelope Ford and Red Velvet get a video package for their match in the AEW TBS Championship tournament.

“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson makes his entrance and joins commentary for our main event.

Miro vs. Orange Cassidy (AEW World Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament Semifinals)

Cassidy sidesteps and hits a few lackadaisical leg kicks before Miro charges him and again he dodges, this time going to the ramp to put his hands in his pockets. Back inside when the Redeemer comes out, off the ropes, suicide dive... COUNTERED INTO A BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX AND WE HAVE GO TO BREAK!

Back from commercial, Miro putting boots to Cassidy, drawing him up, hammer whip into the corner! Orange with a defiant forearm, a primal scream and he fires up with right hands to the Redeemer’s face! Kip-up, his ribs hurting, off the ropes, tornado DDT... NOT ENOUGH!

Set up, Miro bails to the floor, Orange off the top... DIVING SPLASH THROUGH THE TIMEKEEPER’S TABLE! Referee Bryce Remsburg counts and the Redeemer barely makes it in before ten! Orange Punch cued up, Miro blocks, Cassidy with the Beach Break... NOT ENOUGH!

Lining him up, charging in, Miro freight trains him and follows with the Machka Kick! Game Over applied, he falls back...

Miro wins by submission with Game Over.

Post-match, Danielson gets in the ring and stares Miro down.

He offers a hand and the Redeemer backs away.

That’s the show, folks.
