Christopher Daniels is coming for the Impact World Championship

Ever since Christopher Daniels made a surprise appearance in the Impact Zone, his true motive was a mystery. Daniels showed he still has the skills to compete at the top by defeating Madman Fulton last week. This week on Impact Wrestling, he finally shed light on the reason for his return. Daniels is coming for the Impact World Championship.

Daniels did the honorable thing to alert current champion Christian Cage of his intentions.

Daniels: So, the last time we spoke, I told you that I had reasons for being back in Impact Wrestling. I figured now is probably the best time to tell you what they were. I mean I’m not here to chuckle it up with old pals or relive past glory. I’m here to right the wrongs of my past and get the one thing that I never held. (Points to Impact World Championship.)

So, me being the man that I am and you being the man that you are, I wanted to do this face to face. And honestly, I don’t care if the ring skirts on the ring say Impact Wrestling or AEW. We can do it anywhere you want. But, I just wanted to make it official that I want an opportunity for this championship, and I’ll let you think about it.

Daniels is a 4-time X-Division champion, 2-time Impact tag champ, and 6-time NWA tag titleholder during his run with TNA and Impact. The Fallen Angel is trying to claim Impact’s top prize at 51 years of age. I don’t know if he can do it, but I sure want to see him try.

Even though Daniels approached Christian with the request, he may have to proposition a new world champ if the match takes place after Bound for Glory on October 23. Christian has a PPV title defense against formidable foe Josh Alexander.

Will the story of Daniels chasing the Impact world title lure you in to watching Impact?
