Commentary runs tonight’s card down and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Jon Moxley cuts a promo about how the fact is there’s no man in AEW that can beat him.
He’s been in ladder matches and where better to be stupid with ladders than Philadelphia?
CM Punk makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He asks who’s tired of the lovefest before saying he isn’t and he’s gonna keep it going, before talking about his sweet sneakers. He talks about how he lived in Philadelphia for a few years in the early 2000s and wrestled or ran a wrestling school every day of the week. He loved Philly so much because it gave him so much (hey me too!) and the money he made wrestling around the world he bought himself an iPod and a computer and he was rich.
And not just money, he was spiritually rich because of the wrestling community and he’s glad he’s back in that community. He talks about cheesesteaks, saying he’ll either wrestle tonight or buy everyone in the crowd cheesesteaks before deciding he’s gonna wrestle.
Commentary informs us that Tony Khan has made Punk vs. Daniel Garcia official for Rampage on Friday!
We get footage of Arn Anderson’s take on the Malakai Black vs. Cody Rhodes feud, of him starting a fire outside of Cody’s house, burning a suit. He makes Rhodes take his tie off, telling him to paint a scar on his face to make it cool. Cody tries to stop him from burning the tie and Arn slaps him, making him burn his own tie!
And on that note, we go to break.

Jericho’s mic goes out and he gets another to accept the challenge!

Darby Allin vs. Nick Comoroto
Allin dives on Comoroto and Aaron Solo before the bell and posts Nick! Referee Bryce Remsburg calls for the bell!
Whip blocked, reversed, springboard backsplash, running knees, forearms, go-behind into a standing Diamond Dust but Comoroto reverses to a powerslam as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Allin off the top...

The Dark Order are backstage and they agree to settle their differences with voting on the suggestion of John Silver.
He wants Alan Angels to remask because he looks too much like he and Stu Grayson, they bicker, and Anna Jay settles things.
Tony Schiavone interviews Dante Martin in the middle of the ring.
He says he’s been proving that he’s a problem to everyone in that locker room and held his own against the likes of Kenny Omega. He’s here to fight anyone they bring to him, and the lights go out.
They come back up and Malakai Black is in the ring! He spits the black mist and lays Martin out with Black Mass! The lights go out again!

He leaves and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Ricky Starks is in the ring.
He raises the FTW Championship and says it was the same title that was born in South Philadelphia and held by Taz in the name of the FTW mindset, and he has the same damn mindset. But he can’t say the same of the former champion, Brian Cage, and that’s why he came out here. He wanted to make history and do good by these people, but in typical Brian fashion, he didn’t show up tonight.
He wanted to wrestle, and he was even gonna take it a step further and challenge him to a Philly Street Fight, but y’know...
Enter Brian Cage!
Cage with corner lariats until Hook and “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs pull their boy out of the ring!
We get a hype reel of various women talking about the newly-announced AEW TBS Championship.

Lio Rush gets a promo where he calls Dante Martin out and says he’s a huge fan. He sees an undervalued commodity, a sleeping giant, and here’s his proposal— if he accepts Malakai Black’s challenge, maybe he needs some help, so he’s gonna have his people call his people and they’ll talk soon.
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD is interviewed backstage by Tony Schiavone.
She says the TBS Championship is fantastic because now all those jealous bitches in the back can fight amongst themselves instead of obssessing over her and her title.
Andrade el Idolo vs. Jon Moxley vs. Lance Archer vs. “Big Money” Matt Hardy vs. Orange Cassidy vs. PAC vs. ??? (AEW World Championship #1 Contender’s Casino Ladder Match)
PAC and Cassidy to start, collar and elbow into a waistlock takedown and the Bastard rides him. Orange slips out, shoves him and gets laid out with a forearm! Off the ropes, drop down, drop down, Cassidy lays in the middle of the ring and relaxes, looking for a tornado DDT, reversed into a brainbuster...
