If you love tournaments, then AEW is your hook-up. They are currently running the World Title Eliminator Tournament and also the TBS Championship Tournament. To no surprise, that means tournament matches fill the cards this week for Dynamite and Rampage. That’s not all. CM Punk will be in action, the Elite can legally beat up Hangman Page’s friends, and Sammy Guevara will be defending the TNT Championship.

The TNT title bout has ramifications for the Full Gear PPV on November 13. By defending the belt against Ethan Page, Sammy Guevara earned a ten-man tag between the Inner Circle and American Top Team. If Page wins, then Guevara has to leave the Inner Circle forever. If Guevara wins, then he gets to select which three members of ATT join Page and Scorpio Sky at the PPV.
The first round of the World Title Eliminator Tournament concludes with Jon Moxley versus 10. Moxley’s victory is a certainty, so the real question is if 10 can last five minutes with this intensified version of Explicit Mox Violence. The winner, which will be Moxley, advances to face Orange Cassidy in the semifinals at a later date.
The opening round of the TBS Championship Tournament resumes with a grudge match when Hikaru Shida looks to capture her 50th career win in AEW. She went down in defeat to Serena Deeb while at 49 victories. Deeb went rogue afterward by smashing the pre-made trophy over Shida’s body. Nyla Rose awaits the winner at a later date.
The Dark Order are looking to defend the honor of Hangman Page as well as their own by clashing with the Elite one more time. Halloween costumes may be the theme of this contest.
CM Punk is set to make his Dynamite in-ring debut. He took issue with Bobby Fish thrashing a young competitor, so a singles match was made.
The lineup for Rampage on Friday, October 29 includes:
- World Title Eliminator Tournament: Bryan Danielson vs. Eddie Kingston
- Matt Sydal & Mike Sydal vs. Lio Rush & Dante Martin
Bryan Danielson and Eddie Kingston will clash in the semifinals to get one step closer to a world title shot. Danielson took down Dustin Rhodes in the opening round, and Kingston outlasted Lance Archer to punch his ticket this far.
In an effort for Lio Rush to build up Dante Martin, he is confident that their partnership can surpass the veteran Sydal brothers in tag team action.
