Ruby Soho advances in TBS Championship Tournament

New, comments

AEW revealed the bracket for the TBS Championship Tournament just last night on Rampage (check it out right here), and the first match-up of said tournament took place on this week’s special Saturday night episode of Dynamite in Orlando, Florida.

Ruby Soho came into AEW with a head of steam, quickly earning a title shot but coming in short in that bid. She was a prime candidate, then, for this tournament and it comes as no surprise that she was put over by Penelope Ford here.

The win came after Ford tried to use brass knucks, got caught with the referee kicking them out of the ring, and Soho rolling Ford up to score the three count.

For her victory, Soho will advance to the quarterfinals to take on Kris Statlander, who was given a first round bye thanks to her ranking as a top wrestler in the division.

The tournament will wrap up in early January, right about when Dynamite makes the move from TNT to TBS. Hey, it only makes sense, right?
