AEW released their latest rankings (Oct. 22, 2021). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.
Due to the temporary Dynamite schedule shift to Saturday nights, last week’s rankings were posted late. In an effort for documentation of these very prestigious polls, both weeks will be listed.
Men:
October 15 placed Miro at #5, Lance Archer at #4, Jon Moxley at #3, Orange Cassidy at #2, Hangman Page at #1, Sammy Guevara as TNT champion, and Kenny Omega as world titleholder.
The October 22 list is:

No movement for the men this week. The AEW World Title Eliminator tournament has potential to shake things up. #2 Orange Cassidy competes against Will Hobbs, and #4 Lance Archer rumbles with Eddie Kingston.
Women:
October 15 placed Hikaru Shida at #5, Thunder Rosa at #4, Kris Statlander at #3, Tay Conti at #2, Jade Cargill at #1, and Dr. Britt Baker DMD as world titleholder.
The October 22 top 5 is:

Wow. Tay Conti is the new #1. So much for undefeated records holding value. Jade Cargill dropped to #2 despite not tasting defeat. The rankings committee must have viewed Conti’s win over Santana Garrett as primo worth. Conti should now have the inside track toward a title shot against Dr. Britt Baker DMD. Also, Nyla Rose bumped out Hikaru Shida from #5.
Tag Team:
October 15 placed The Acclaimed at #5, Private Party at #4, FTR at #3, Jurassic Express at #2, Young Bucks at #1, and Lucha Bros as world titleholders.
The October 22 group is:

FTR is the new #1 amid controversy. They stepped over the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express on the way to the top. FTR’s rise is fueled by winning the AAA tag titles from the Lucha Bros. I’d argue that the win should not be credited to Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood. They came in as the Super Ranas in a luchador disguise, thus the Super Ranas technically earned the victory. FTR should not benefit from that treachery.
