UFC star Jorge Masvidal lands another knockout blow in AEW

The main event of tonight’s (Oct. 15) episode of AEW Rampage featured a six man tag team match. The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara) was looking for revenge against Men of the Year (Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page) and former UFC champion Junior Dos Santos. This was Dos Santos’ pro wrestling debut.

Dos Santos was involved in much more of the action than I expected him to be. But he wasn’t out there doing double springboard cutters like TNT champion Guevara, of course. Look at this guy.

Junior got in his share of strikes, hammerfists, and an attempted big boot. But the fight ended for him when Hager violently introduced him to a table.

Current UFC star Jorge Masvidal was in the corner for American Top Team. Would he find a way to knock out Chris Jericho once again? You’re damn right he did.

When Chris locked in the Walls of Jericho on Scorpio Sky, Paige VanZant distracted referee Aubrey Edwards. That gave Masvidal the perfect window to KO Jericho yet again with another flying knee strike.

American Top Team wins again.

A group beatdown ensued after the match was over, but Santana and Ortiz chased off the heels and saved their Inner Circle stablemates from further damage.
