NWA adds ridiculous stipulation to worlds title fight between EC3 and Matt Cardona

Matt Cardona demanded a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against EC3, and he wanted it in a death match. EC3 upped the ante to The Ultimate Match of Death, whatever that means. The bout was signed, sealed, and delivered for NWA Paranoia on January 13 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Not so fast, my friend. One more request was in order to add a ridiculous stipulation, and the NWA obliged.

Cardona versus EC3 for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship will be contested with ten pounds of gold weapons. The idea comes from the Ten Pounds of Gold nickname for the title belt.

Just handed down from the office, as an added stipulation, this Saturday at NWA Paranoia in the Ultimate Match Of Death for the Worlds Heavyweight Championship, as requested by the competitors, EC3 and Matt Cardona will have access to “Ten Pounds Of Gold Weapons!”

What will they be?! What’s going to happen? Who will be Champion? And more importantly, if you’re able to get to Fort Lauderdale, FL and you haven’t gotten your tickets, what are you waiting for?!

Is this new stipulation ridiculous? Yes. Do I want to see gold weapons? Give me a hell yeah! Thumbs up for the novelty to create interest.

Cardona offered a few thoughts prior to the major showdown. He respects EC3 for controlling his narrative, however, he is the real main event player. Cardona claimed it would be best for business to beat EC3 in order for the NWA to thrive with him as champion. Cardona doesn’t care what weapons are used, because his confidence is riding high as the Deathmatch King.

The advertised lineup for NWA Paranoia on January 13, as best as I can piece together, includes:

  • NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship: EC3 (c) vs. Matt Cardona in The Ultimate Match of Death
  • NWA Women’s World Championship: Kenzie Paige (c) vs. Tiffany Nieves
