I Quit match signed for ROH Final Battle

The feud between Ethan Page and Tony Nese has escalated into an I Quit match at ROH Final Battle on December 15.

This story began when Mark Sterling scouted Page as a potential client. Page turned down the invitation. All Ego went on a hot streak winning five matches in a row. His goal was to establish himself in the TV title picture to become a champion. Match number six was against Nese. Page had momentum heading toward victory, but Sterling provided timely interference to help Nese win. In the rematch, Sterling was ejected from ringside. As Nese argued with with the referee, Page pounded a big boot to Nese’s mush for victory. Bad blood boiled after the bell. The rivalry stood at one win apiece.

For the rubber match, Sterling demanded that he be allowed ringside, so management acquiesced with a tweak. Sterling will be handcuffed to the ring post to prevent pulling any crap.

The official contract signing took place on ROH TV episode 41. Tony Khan oversaw the proceedings for the Final Battle bout. Sterling slipped an I Quit stipulation into the contract. Nese talked trash and signed the paperwork. Page is going to punish Nese then take the spotlight with him on his way up the ladder to winning gold. All Ego put his name on the dotted line.

Nese had one more piece of advice as a personal trainer. Always take your protein. Sterling threw powder in Page’s eyes.

Fisticuffs ensued, and Nese tossed Page through the table.
