Chris Jericho reacts to last week’s Dynamite doing better numbers than SmackDown on FS1

All Elite Wrestling

WWE made its final push to what turned out to be a very eventful Survivor Series on the last episode of SmackDown. Unfortunately, that push came on Black Friday. The holiday weekend also meant that FOX was airing college football, so the blue show was moved to FS1 — a cable network with much smaller reach.

According to Wrestlenomics, that combination of factors wasn’t great for the show’s numbers. Last week’s SmackDown was down quite a bit from its last few FS1 editions, with a total audience of 789,000 with a .24 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. That’s also less than last week’s AEW Dynamite did the night before Thanksgiving, on a network that’s in a similar number of homes.

And when someone pointed that out on Twitter/X, AEW’s Chris Jericho took note and used it as evidence the latest round of doom and gloom about his company in the wake of CM Punk’s WWE debut is overstated.

Since we’re sure no one has any thoughts about that, we’ll just tell you that WWE is back on FOX this Friday for a Survivor Series fallout show featuring Logan Paul and Randy Orton. Now here’s a rundown of the past year’s worth of SmackDown’s numbers:

* Aired on FS1
