The Nightly: August 7th, 2022

Hello Nightly!!!

Tonight, we take a look at the August 9th, 1999 edition of WWF Raw Is War/War Zone. This was an action packed episode of Raw. We saw the Governor of Minnesota and former WWF commentator Jesse The Body Ventura return to WWF to lay down law and order, and in the main event, which had Centura on commentary, Chyna defeated Undertaker and Triple H to become the new number 1 contender. X-Pac and Kane became the new tag team champions, and Kane would speak for the first time without the use of his electro-larynx. And finally, we would see the debut of the mysterious Millennium Man as the countdown to the new millennium had ended, and it turned out to be none other than Chris Jericho, a big signing over from WCW to WWF.

Overall, this was a really good episode of Raw, much better than it has been in a few weeks.

On to the Nightly.
