The Nightly 4th of July 2022 Bash

Hello Nightly!!!

Tonight, we take a look at the April 12th, 1999 edition of WCW Monday Nitro.

Overall, this was a decent episode of Nitro as this was the fallout show from Spring Stampede 1999. Flair and Sting would face off one more time for old times sake after Diamond Dallas Page rejected Sting’s challenge in favor of a match with Scott Steiner, which was the main event with a returning Rowdy Roddy Piper on commentary. There was also Goldberg facing off against Kenny Kaos, as well as some cruiserweight action to start the show. And in a segment that was totally not booked by one of the participants, a match featuring a tag team known as the Master Blasters was interrupted by Kevin Nash who proceeded to attack both members of that tag team.

Overall, this was a decent Nitro all things considered. Nothing great, but an alright Nitro as we move towards Slamboree 1999.

On to the Nightly.
