The Nightly: June 21st, 2022

Hello Nightly!!!

Tonight we take a look at the March 15th, 1999 episode of WWF Raw Is War/War Zone.

This was a pretty good episode of Raw, though a bit bizarre at times in terms of booking. For example, we have Road Dogg and Billy Gunn randomly winning the Intercontinental title and the Hardcore title respectively, despite Road Dogg being in the Hardcore title scene and Billy Gunn being in the IC title scene. Other elements on this show were very strong, like Undertaker invading Vince McMahon’s house. Undertaker would somehow teleport(?) to the arena to disguise himself as Kane during a brawl with Triple H. And Shane McMahon also had a warmup match against the "Legion of Doom" AKA Patterson and Brisco in LOD gear and face paint. And I would be remiss to tell you that they still manage to continue JR’s heel turn in this episode, by giving him his own JR is Raw booth.

On to the Nightly.
