The Nightly: May 4th, 2022

Hello Nightly!!!

Tonight, we take a look at the November 2nd, 1998 edition of WCW Monday Nitro. This was a bit of a weird episode of Nitro, as neither Hogan nor Bischoff or even Warrior were on the show here. As a result, this episode kind of felt like a filler episode, which isn’t necessarily a good thing considering that World War 3 is only a few weeks away. But it was a decent episode, but perhaps the most notable part was Scott Steiner going nuts on Kenny Kaos and JJ Dillon. It seemed like a very awkward segment, and Steiner’s promo was certainly something. But other than that, not too much happened other than Bret Hart trying to get out of facing Lex Luger, and as a result, we got Luger/Giant as our Nitro main event. And people say WCW main events never delivered!

Overall, an okay Nitro, but it definitely felt like a filler episode.

On to the Nightly.
