The Nightly: May 12th, 2022

Hello Nightly!!!

Tonight, we take a look at the November 23rd, 1998 episode of WCW Monday Nitro. This was a pretty decent show, as this was the fallout show for World War 3 1998, and the build has officially begun for Starrcade 1998, where the main event will be Goldberg/Kevin Nash. Both guys prepared for the match by Nash ending Wrath’s undefeated streak, and Goldberg giving the Jackhammer to Giant. There was also Jericho butchering Bobby Duncum’s name calling him Bobby Duncan, and Duncum hogtying Ralphus, or Rufus, as Mean Gene was constantly calling him. There was also some friction between Booker T and Stevie Ray, though nothing would really come of it until early 2000. Overall, this was a decent Nitro as we head towards Starrcade 1998. We also got a good Kidman/Mysterio match, where Juventud Guerrera would end up costing Mysterio the match against Kidman.

On to the Nightly.
