Hello Nightly!!!
Tonight, we take a look at the October 26th, 1998 edition of WWF Raw Is War/War Zone.
X-Pac vs. Steve Blackman for the WWF European Championship:
Real Man’s Man Steven Regal would interfere.
The Rock vs. Droz:
Decent match.
Kane vs. Gangrel:
After this match, The Brood would officially form, as Edge turned heel and joined Gangrel and Christian.
Godfather vs. Tiger Ali Singh:
This match was so boring and bad, the crowd ended up doing the wave.
Oddities and Insane Clown Posse vs. Kaientai:
Who would have thought that ICP and Dock Togo would have ever shared the ring together?
Marc Mero vs. Goldust:
Goldust would get DQed due to Shattered Dreams.
New Age Outlaws vs. Mankind and Al Snow for the WWF World Tag Team Championships:
Not a great match.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Ken Shamrock in an I Quit match:
Decent Raw main event, they basically repeat the finish of Austin/Dude at Over The Edge 1998.
The main story was Shane McMahon rehiring Austin, and cutting a really good face promo on Vince. There was also a mini Motley Crue concert as the band performed Wild Side to promote their then recent Greatest Hits record. I wish they had rock bands like this perform on WWE TV more often. Overall, a really good Raw.
On to the Nightly.
