The Nightly: October 3rd, 2022

Hello Nightly!!!

Tonight we take a look at the March 20th, 2000 episodes for Raw and Nitro.

On Raw, we saw the debuts of two new superstars, Bull Buchanan, the new protege of Big Boss Man (and formerly Recon in Truth Commission) and Trish Stratus, who is now the manager of T&A, Test and Prince Albert. The main event also sees the Wrestlemania main event happen on Raw for some reason, as Triple H successfully defended the title against Rock and Big Show, but Linda McMahon comes out and announces a fatal four way elimination match for the title at Wrestlemania, with Rock, Show, HHH, and a returning Mick Foley for one night only. The whole build for this Mania main event is just so chaotic and kind of a mess.

And over on Nitro, we saw Flair and Sting go one on one again, as well as Luger and Vampiro. There was also the main event of Hogan/Sid vs. Jarrett/Steiner, and Sid turns heel on Hogan for some reason. This is just out of nowhere and doesn’t really make much sense. This was also the last time we’d see the space Nitro set, as they do a Spring Break episode next week, and then a reboot shortly after…

On to the Nightly.
