The Nightly: January 19th, 2022

Hello Nightly!!!

WCW Monday Nitro: February 2nd, 1998:

Juventud Guerrera vs. Psychosis:

Solid opener.

Ultimo Dragon vs. Kidman:

Solid match.

Chris Jericho vs. Super Calo for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship:

Bit of a sloppy match thanks to Super Calo.

Booker T vs. Lord Steven Regal for the WCW World Television Championship:

Quite a good match here.

Goldberg vs. Mark Starr:

Basic Goldberg squash. The following week will be very different, however.

British Bulldog vs. Steve McMichael:

This match turned into a brawl for some reason.

Konnan vs. Hugh Morrus:

Konnan won with a modified Pedigree.

Scott Hall vs. Jim Neidhart:

Okay match.

Raven vs. Disco Inferno:

Surprisingly good match considering it was a Disco Inferno match. It did help that he was working with Raven.

The Steiner Brothers vs. Kevin Nash and Buff Bagwell:

Scott would single handily win again. Nash and Bagwell was a weird tag team within the NWO.

Sting vs. Randy Savage:

This match was treated as a big deal since Sting was wrestling. Match ended when Hogan made the save for… Sting? Even if he is feuding against Savage, this finish really didn’t make a lot of sense.

Overall, this was a decent Nitro as we head into SuperBrawl VIII.

On to the Nightly.
