The Nightly: January 12th, 2022

Hello Nightly!!!

WWF Raw Is War/War Zone: January 12th, 1998:

New Age Outlaws vs. Truth Commission vs. Godwinns vs. Headbangers:

Decent match.

Ken Shamrock and Mark Henry vs. Nation Of Domination:

Mark Henry would pull a swerve and become the new member of the Nation, much to Faarooq’s chagrin.

Kurrgan vs. Jimmy Cicero and Lance Diamond:

Basic squash match. Best part about these matches has been Jackyl on commentary.

Disciples of Apocalypse vs. Rock N Roll Express:

Jim Cornette was inexplicably managing the Express and wound up getting caught cheating for them. This match and angle was truly something.

Marc Mero vs. Vader:

Alright match, Goldust came to the ring dressed as Sable.

Mankind vs. The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust:

Austin would come in and stun both guys about ten seconds after the match started.

Los Boricuas vs. Taka Michinoku and Scott Taylor:

Decent tag match.

Overall, this was a really strong go home show for Royal Rumble 1998. Stone Cold continued his crusade of doing onto others before they do onto him, and the DX/Undertaker/Kane saga has been great.

On to the Nightly.
