Fusion: ALPHA airs Wednesday night at 7 pm ET on YouTube (here).
MLW is headlining with their most intriguing free agent acquisition from the off-season. “The American Wolf” Davey Richards will go one-on-one with TJP. The contest should be a nice blend of mat skills and aerial assaults. Both men will be looking to rally momentum for the upcoming Opera Cup tournament.
Richards will be making his singles return to televised wrestling for the first time in four years. He participated in the Battle Riot III earlier this year for MLW, but that is a completely different experience than a proper match. Also of note, it has been six years since Richards wrestled TJP, when he was under the Manik mask.
MLW is a blend a styles, hence the Fusion name. It doesn’t get much different from the technical prowess of Richards and TJP than a Bunkhouse Brawl. The Von Erichs and Team Filthy aim to get wild. That is sure to be bonkers.
MLW rounds out the action with a showcase of young wrestlers when KC Navarro battles Gino Medina. Navarro parlayed this appearance into signing with the promotion, so it should be a good match.
If you aren’t sold yet, then I’ve got two words for you. Dario Cueto!
Cesar Duran (alias Dario Cueto) is MLW’s official matchmaker. The man returned from the dead to change his name and get back in the promoter game with Azteca Underground. He’s lined up a pretty solid card for Fusion: ALPHA tonight. That should come as no surprise, since he loves violence.
Ring the bell!
