The Nightly: September 13th, 2021

Hello Nightly!!!

Raw:

Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart:

These two were more or less phoning it in, mainly so they could get to the most match angle with Austin, Owen, and Bulldog.

Executioner vs. Freddie Joe Floyd:

Not a great match.

Rocky Maivia vs. Salvatore Sincere:

This was Rock’s Raw debut. It is so hard to believe that roughly a year and a half from this point, he would be the People’s Champion and the most electrifying man in sports entertainment.

Billy Gunn vs. Marc Mero:

Okay match, Hunter Hearst Helmsley would interfere.

Nitro:

Lex Luger vs. Arn Anderson:

The finish to this was just dumb. Luger and Anderson get counted out as Luger is too preoccupied doing the Torture Rack on Arn outside the ring.

Tony Pena vs. Lord Steven Regal for the WCW World Television Championship:

Decent match.

Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Psychosis:

This match was way too short.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Konnan:

These guys didn’t seem to have too much chemistry.

Big Bubba vs. Rick Steiner:

Big Bubba would win after Sting interferes, as Rick, much like Jarrett was talking crap about Sting.

Jeff Jarrett vs. Alex Wright:

Speaking of Jarrett, he would have a boring match with Das Wunderkind.

Faces Of Fear vs. Harlem Heat:

This match would end via NWO interference.

Overall, I’d probably give the show to Raw. It was a bit of a better show, whereas Nitro had Marcus Bagwell joining the NWO. I think that says it all, really. Nitro would win with a 3.1 against Raw’s 2.1.

On to the Nightly.
