The IIconics give themselves a new name, announce their return to wrestling

90 days after WWE released them, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay said goodbye to their former characters (Peyton Royce & Billie Kay, respectively). That farewell coming on a Wednesday led to some speculation an AEW debut might be imminent, but with the two Australians still dealing with work visa issues, it wasn’t quite time for that yet.

We can rev up the rumor engine now, though. While revealing their new-post WWE team name, Cassie & Jessie shared that cities & dates for their pro wrestling return will be coming soon.

That new name? They’re sticking with the double-I thing. Say hello to IInspiration...

I don’t know about y’all, but I can’t really find anything to complain about any news that comes along with that photo. But even when I close my eyes and think on it, IInspiration makes sense - even if it’s not terribly iinspired. A whole lot of people are familiar with the name they were using when they won the WWE Women’s Tag titles under. This provides a hook into that existing brand, and it sounds good when applied to something like a return tour.

Let us know what you think, and we’ll let you know as soon as we get some tour info.
