The marquee bout for Night 1 is Bandido defending the ROH World Championship against Flip Gordon. The Mercenary is coming in with momentum after pinning Homicide via piledriver to win the All-Stars versus Champions contest between Gordon, Briscoes, Josh Woods, & EC3 and Dragon Lee, Homicide, Chris Dickinson, Jonathan Gresham, & Bandido.
Gordon plans on making the most of his opportunity from winning a world title shot back on February 9, 2020. Due to the COVID pandemic, cashing in his prize was pushed back until now.
After a long wait, Flip Gordon is finally cashing in his World Title shot against the Most Wanted Champion, Bandido, at ROH #GloryByHonor this Friday at 2300 Arena in Philly!

The prime bout for Night 2 is Matt Taven battling Vincent inside a steel cage. Taven summed up his feelings with a dramatic video to shave his beard.

If you are in the mood for violence, ROH compiled every violent moment in the feud between Taven and Vincent for your viewing pleasure.
ROH’s next event will be Death Before Dishonor on September 21, moved from Florida to Philadelphia, PA. They aren’t wasting any time announcing matches. The card includes:
- ROH World Championship: Champion vs. TBA
- ROH Pure Championship: Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Josh Woods
- ROH World Six-Man Championship: Shane Taylor, Moses, & Kaun (c) vs. Los Ingobernables
- ROH Women’s Championship: Tournament final
The winner of Bandido versus Gordon will move on to defend against the next challenger. ROH will announce that man’s identity on Night 2 of Glory by Honor prior to the steel cage main event. If Bandido has any say, he’ll surely want revenge on Rush for unmasking him.
The winner of Jonathan Gresham and Rhett Titus will collide with Josh Woods to defend their Pure gold. Shane Taylor Promotions is open to defend the Six-Man straps against all comers. Los Ingobernables will answer that call at Death Before Dishonor. Of course, that assumes STP gets past Delirious’ team of masked hooligans at Glory by Honor.
Seeing as ROH specifically announced Gresham and STP in those matches, it seems like a very strong chance that they will both retain this weekend. For the world title bout, ROH was not so confident in announcing the participants. Perhaps a title change is in the cards with Gordon finally achieving his goal to win the biggest prize in ROH.
The ROH Women’s Championship tournament is in full swing with the first round concluding. (First round results.) I think Rok-C versus Allysin Kay is a strong contender to be the final bout. Quarterfinal matchups kick off on episode 518 of ROH Wrestling airing this weekend. The lineup is Rok-C versus Quinn McKay, Miranda Alize versus Nicole Savoy, and Rey Horus versus Demonic Flamita in the no DQ main event.
In urgent Danhausen news, Danhausen had the great idea to team up with PCO and Sledge to chase the Six-Man titles. Sledge has three conditions to forming a trios squad. He’s not painting his face. He’s not saying Hausen. And Danhausen will get his name right. Danhausen agreed to Steve’s terms.

Danhausen’s crew went to work against Primal Fear on ROH Week by Week (here). Danhausen cleaned house on the hot tag then got his house cleaned by a decapitating clothesline. After PCO and Sledge crushed Primal Fear with powerful maneuvers, Danhausen picked up the winhausen with the pinhausen. More sacks of money are coming Danhausen’s way.
We’ll close with a promo from the Briscoes. Mark and Jay hyped up their wrestling experiences in Philadelphia from young fans at Summerslam to wrestlers for ROH. They also threw shade at clowns in AEW and WWE. Dem Boys are the baddest tag team on the MF’ing planet.
