When WWE “future endeavors” wrestlers these days, a lot of fans immediately start speculating about their AEW debut.
Tony Khan doesn’t pick up most of the people released by WWE, though. So we have to consider other options for the bulk of the new free agents. Impact’s made an annual tradition out of teasing Vince McMahon’s post-WrestleMania cuts for their summer Slammiversary PPV.
Now Ring of Honor is dipping their toe in the water.
In a recent blog post on the company’s website, writer Kevin Eck got the ball rolling:
“I’m hearing that some talented wrestlers who were recently released from another organization could be appearing at Death Before Dishonor.
Let the speculation commence.”
ROH’s official Twitter got even more to the point yesterday afternoon:
With all of the recent releases, who from @WWENXT would you like to see compete in ROH?

NXT talents typically have a 30 day non-compete, so any of the folks let go last Friday (Aug. 6) should be clear for ROH’s Death Before Dishonor PPV in Philadelphia on Sept. 12.
Anybody you’d like to see step to Bandido, Jonathan Gresham, or whoever wins the ROH Women’s title in the tournament finals at DBD?
