The NWA and Mickie James are making moves. After James’ release from the WWE, she is back in the headlines in a positive way. Billy Corgan is handing the reigns to James as executive producer for an all-women’s PPV on August 28.

James is thankful for the opportunity to make a real difference. The goal is to show that women’s wrestling makes money, deserves prime real estate on the marquee, and why women’s wrestling matters. James wants to the best of the best for the show.
James’ promo has clear references to her issues with WWE. When James proposed an all-female brand, the idea was met with skepticism about the ability for women’s wrestling to make money. This PPV with the NWA is James’ chance to prove the doubters wrong.
NWA’s core crew of women includes Kamille as NWA Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa, Melina, Taryn Terell, and Kylie Rae. They have also been using Thunder Rosa’s Mission Pro Wrestling connections to showcase Jennacide, Alex Gracia, Skye Blue, Lady Frost, and others. Even with all those names, the NWA will likely need more faces to fill out a full card. AEW might be able to lend a hand with former NWA champ Serena Deeb and others walking through the Forbidden Door. There will also be free agents available looking to start fresh after the WWE.
Will you be tuning in to support NWA’s all-women PPV? Who do you want to see in the headline bout?
