MLW signs two wrestlers, musketeer luchador and master of Taiga Style

MLW’s Twitter

Round 3 of MLW’s open draft gimmick revealed the signing of two wrestlers to the promotion. Alicia Atout announced Aramis and Lee Moriarty are joining MLW. Both will be in action at MLW’s return on July 10 in Philadelphia.

Aramis signed a multi-year deal. He will compete under the Azteca Underground banner for MLW.

Aramis stands at 5’7” and 177 pounds. His specialty move is an airplane spin into rack powerbomb. The luchador’s inspiration comes from the Three Musketeers. Konnan is credited with discovery, while Cesar Duran is credited with putting the deal together for MLW. Aramis had been on the radar of AEW.

Lee Moriarty is the, “Apex of Combat,” and master of Taiga Style.

Moriarty stands at 5’11” and 185 pounds. His specialty is the reverse armbar. Moriarty broke in on the northeast circuit. The newcomer will be competing in the middleweight division for MLW.

Atout also confirmed the return of Savio Vega and Zenshi when MLW returns to action on July 10 in Philadelphia. Those names will join Alex Kane, Gringo Loco, King Mo, Tom Lawlor, Davey Richards, Marshall Von Erich, Ross Von Erich, Gino Medina, King Muertes, and Cesar Duran (alias Dario Cueto) at the show.

It turns out that Duran acquired IWA Puerto Rico, so Vega will be under the Azteca Underground stable. Speaking of IWA Puerto Rico, does that mean Caribbean Champion Richard Holliday is under Duran’s matchmaking umbrella while he has that gold?

In other news related to Azteca Underground, King Muertes has signed a multi-year deal with MLW. According to the press release, “While terms have not been released, can confirm that Cesar Duran brokered the deal and will be the exclusive promoter for Muertes under the Azteca Underground banner.”

MLW also announced the return of Stephen DeAngelis as ring announcer. DeAngelis handled those duties during the MLW Underground run in the early 2000’s.

Alexander Hammerstone has sweet new merch.

We’ll close with a funny photoshop of Holliday and Atout. Who knew that in addition to Simon Gotch being a perpetrator of violence, he is also a perpetrator of photoshop. He perfectly captured Atout being captivated by Holliday’s musk.

Do you like MLW’s signings of Aramis and Lee Moriarty? Which opponents do you want them to wrestle? What should be the name of Holliday’s bottled odor?
