Impact is no stranger to the Forbidden Door of wrestling. They have worked with AEW to bring in Kenny Omega, Matt Hardy, Private Party, Tony Khan, Jim Ross, and an assortment of others. Impact also left the door open for NJPW talent to pass through. FinJuice and El Phantasmo have successfully worked their craft in the Impact Zone. The big hitters don’t stop there. Next week will see the Impact debut of NJPW legend Satoshi Kojima.

Kojima has won top championships in All Japan Pro Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, MLW, and NWA. He was ranked 3rd in the PWI 500 for 2005. Kojima is a major score for Impact as a guest through the Forbidden Door.
I’m curious what plans Impact has for Kojima. All of these crossovers have been shot quickly into title matches. Kenny Omega has a date with Moose to defend the Impact World Championship at Against All Odds on June 12, but perhaps Impact can squeeze in a title match against Kojima.
Omega and Kojima have wrestled each other twice before in Japan. The series is tied at one apiece. Kojima won the first meeting in 2011, and Omega got his win back in 2017. It would be pretty cool to see the rubber match.
Another option for Kojima is to go for Josh Alexander and the X-Division Championship. Alexander’s rugged wrestling style would mix well with Kojima for a banger of a match. Alexander recently defeated Phantasmo in a title defense. By beating Kojima, Alexander could start earning the reputation as a NJPW killer.
Are pumped to see Satoshi Kojima debut in Impact? Who would you like to see Kojima wrestle?
