Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Roman Reigns’ new entrance theme has been in the works dating back to shortly after his return at SummerSlam last year, according to Fightful Select.
  • Speaking of Reigns, a Universal title match against Cesaro is expected for the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash show.
  • WrestleVotes says a location for SummerSlam is still in flux and an announcement likely isn’t coming anytime soon.
  • As far as WWE going back out on the road, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter says June has been hinted at inside the company but talent were told August or maybe late July.
  • Per the Observer, Impact’s Rebellion pay-per-view is looking like one of the most successful the company has put on in years, although still not close to the kind of buys the company was doing in the mid-to-late 2000s.
