Forbes latest list of the world’s billionaires is out, and pro wrestling is well represented.
WWE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Vince McMahon is estimated to be worth $300 million more than he was in 2020. But because the rich have gotten richer during the pandemic, he’s fallen more than 300 place in the rankings. In 2021, McMahon is said to have $2.1 billion. That puts him at #1517 (there are 2,524 billionaires around the world, according to Forbes).
Vince is looking up at AEW’s co-owner and chief investor Shad Khan. Of course, Tony’s dad’s money doesn’t come from wrestling. The senior Khan is an auto parts magnate who owns the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and the Premier League’s Fulham F.C. His entire portfolio is said to be worth $8 billion, which makes him the 308th richest person in the world. Last year, Shad Khan had $7.8 billion and ranked #183.
Not bad for a couple of carnies, eh?
