New Japan’s next event will have a MYSTERY PARTNER

Sure, the headliner for April 4’s Sakura Genesis event is New Japan Cup winner Will Ospreay (who NJPW decided to heat up by rehashing a 2005 Randy Orton/Stacy Keibler angle and having him hit girlfriend Bea Priestley with his Oscutter finisher to prove the title means more than anything to him) vs. IWGP World Heavyweight champion Kota Ibushi.

But here at Cageside Seats dot com, we love us a good mystery. Mystery partner, mystery opponent, mystery stipulation... we pop for all of them. We’re like the Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy & Scooby of pro wrestling.

So it’s the “TBA” who’ll join Ospreay’s United Empire teammates against Los Ingobernables de Japon that piqued our interest on this card. It’s too early to be Andrade*; we’ll have to wait 90 days before we start fantasy booking his first post-WWE appearance. But feel free to let you imagination’s run wild anyway...
