Let’s catch up on the latest news in MLW and preview tonight’s episode of MLW Fusion.
The title fights keep coming. Hot off two championship scraps last week, MLW is presenting another fight for gold. Alexander Hammerstone will be defending his National Openweight Championship against LA Park during tonight’s episode of MLW Fusion.
The match was set up when Salina de la Renta thirsted for more treasure. She thinks LA Park can take advantage of Hammerman being too focused on battling the Contra Unit. LA Park is motivated by achieving success but also making a good impression for his new boss at Azteca Underground. The money man’s identity is still a mystery, however, here is another tease toward Dario Cueto.
El futuro me salvó de la muerte. Gracias @aaaerostar1. pic.twitter.com/wUkQVbKDRi

The message thanked Aerostar for causing the future to save his life. If you recall, the final scene of season 4 in Lucha Underground was Dario Cueto opening his eyes from inside a casket. From the Ultima Lucha 4 recap:
One year ago at Dario Cueto’s funeral, Aerostar popped in. He opened the casket lid and placed the Piedra Immortal amulet around Dario’s neck. “Come with me.” Dario’s eyes opened. “Aerostar???” Dario sat up. “What the fu..???”

In other action for tonight, ACH accepted Tom Lawlor’s challenge to wrestler Kevin Ku. The Von Erichs sense a trap, so they grabbed a flight from Hawaii to watch ACH’s back.
Teams of four are shaping up, and I hope this leads to MLW’s next War Chamber match. The Von Erichs, ACH, and Low Ki against Tom Lawlor, Dominic Garrini, Kevin Ku, and King Mo sounds like a perfect fit for caged carnage. It would be a full-circle moment, since the last War Chamber contest was when beef began between Lawlor and the Von Erichs.
One more bout is being promoted for tonight’s card. Gino Medina and Gringo Loco will have a rematch in the ring. Medina takes exception to Gringo Loco using that name, because Medina’s father was a member of the lucha libre crew Los Gringos Locos. This current Gringo Loco is just a fake rip-off.

Also on the program, the Never Say Never main event will be revealed for the special TV event on March 31 and the PWI Top 5 will debut for the MLW middleweight division. Both of those announcements could tie in together for Lio Rush’s next defense of the middleweight strap. Unfortunately, Rush has other things on his mind. He lost his AirPods, to which Richard Holliday had a reply.
This life is not for everyone, Lio. https://t.co/hfR5PkjFRU

Rush may need to tips from the AirPod God when he gets his next pair. I’m seriously amazed out how Holliday’s AirPods never fall out.
We’ll close with exciting news stemming from last week’s confrontation between Calvin Tankman and Jacob Fatu. Tankman bullied Contra around the ring when saving Injustice from a beatdown. Now, MLW is in negotiations to book Fatu versus Tankman for the heavyweight championship. Can I get a hell yeah?
