ROH re-signs Rush & Dragon Lee and announces Rush’s next world title challenger

New, comments

Ring of Honor has important business to announce. They finally locked down the holders of the ROH World Championship and the ROH World Television Championship. Both Rush and Dragon Lee have re-signed. The brothers aren’t alone though. Their father, Bestia del Ring, also inked a new deal to make it a family affair.

ROH

Rush, Dragon Lee, and Bestia del Ring make up ROH’s version of Los Ingobernables, along with Kenny King and Amy Rose. Rush has held the ROH World Championship for 346 days and counting during his second reign. Dragon Lee has kept the TV title in his possession for 424 days and counting.

Locking down Los Ingobernables to new deals means that fans will get to see a marvelous feud play out against The Foundation, which is made up of Jonathan Gresham, Jay Lethal, Tracy Williams, and Rhett Titus. The Foundation is aiming to purify professional wrestling and restore honor, while Los Ingobernables never play by the rules. Good times are ahead for ROH viewers.

Before we get faction warfare, Rush has other business to attend to. ROH announced the next challenger for his ROH World Championship. Rush will do battle with Shane Taylor. That is going to be a rough and tumble fight. Even better news is that the contest will air on TV during the ROH Wrestling program on the weekend of February 27. Check for ROH channel listings in your area. The episode will become available for free on Monday, March 1 through ROH Honor Club and Fite TV.

Taylor is riding high with momentum as ROH’s Wrestler of the Month for January. He recently pinned two former world champs, Jay Briscoe at Final Battle and Jay Lethal in trios action during January. Rush plans to show Taylor who’s boss.
