Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Per WrestleVotes, WWE “will 100% discuss” using cardboard cut outs in the stands at WrestleMania 37, after they liked the way they looked at Raymond James Stadium for the Super Bowl.
- Pretty obvious, but Wrestling Observer Radio confirmed WWE’s plan for WrestleMania 37 is Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. The Miz & John Morrison.
- Bad Bunny might be starting a trend, too. Rapper Bow Wow tweeted that he plans to wrestle for WWE after his next album comes out. He wants to team with Rey Mysterio and is already Twitter beefing with RETRIBUTION.
- In an interview with Forbes, WWE President Nick Khan confirmed the company is interested in bringing Cardi B in.
- Thea “Zelina Vega” Trinidad’s non-compete will be up next week. Fightful Select says they haven’t heard of anyone interested in signing the former WWE star, but note it’s normal for companies to not want to “tip their hand”.
