Last week, NXT advertised a clash tonight between Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar & Karrion Kross. (This would be non-title obviously since I’m pretty sure that Kross is over 205.)
However, that match didn’t happen this week. Because Escobar decided he wasn’t going to show up. No one tells him what to do.
.@EscobarWWE may have avoided a match tonight, but he'll face @WWEKarrionKross next week or he will be stripped of the #WWENXT #Cruiserweight Title AND suspended indefinitely, per @RealKingRegal! pic.twitter.com/oosg5D5Pof

This did not please General Manager William Regal, who re-booked the match for next week. If Escobar pulls the same stunt, he’s getting indefinitely suspended and he will be stripped of the title.
Perhaps the real reason is NXT came up with a new plan coming out of last Sunday’s TakeOver: Vengeance Day and didn’t have room on the card. Or maybe he’ll no show next week and they’ll use this to get the Cruiserweight title off him to move him up the card without taking a loss.
We’ll find out next week.
