As he wrapped up his weekly reviews of Stephen Amell’s pro wrestling drama Heels on Starz, our Marcus Benjamin wrote that the show’s first season told a satisfying story, but he hoped it got a chance to continue.
That wish is coming true, as the network announced today (Nov. 3) that Heels will be back for a second season. Production is set to begin in 2022.
Starz President & CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said of the decision:
“It’s clear from the critical and fan acclaim that the stories and characters from the Duffy Wrestling League have made a connection with audiences bringing a community that is not often found to premium TV. I’m excited for our amazing cast and executive producers to get back into the ring together for a second season.”
Jack Spade himself tweeted:

That returning cast will certainly include leads like Amell & Alexander Ludwig as the Spade brothers, and rising Duffy Wrestling League Crystal, played by Kelli Berglund. Will CM Punk’s Ricky Rabies continue to be a recurring guest?
We’ll find out next year.
Excited for more Heels?
