Will Ospreay set to debut for MLW

During MLW’s prime time Fightland special on Vice TV, Alicia Atout broke news of a major league acquisition set to debut. Will Ospreay is coming to town.

Ospreay is scheduled for MLW’s next live event on November 6 in Philadelphia. No opponent has been named yet.

It is unclear how locked in Ospreay will be to MLW, but the phrasing sounds more like a Forbidden Door style appearance. MLW has mingled with NJPW before by sharing Tom Lawlor, Lio Rush, TJP, and others.

Dave Meltzer, Raj Giri, Andreas Hale, and Emilio Sparks put over Ospreay’s skills in the ring as a 5-star talent. Living up to that praise, Ospreay has sixteen 5-star matches as judged by Meltzer. He was ranked #7 in the PWI 500 for 2021.

Ospreay vacated the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship in May 2021 due to a neck injury. He returned to action for RevPro in August and NJPW Strong in September. The world is now his oyster.

Who would you like to see Ospreay wrestle in MLW?
