When NXT dropped the entire Dusty Rhodes’ Tag Team Classic bracket earlier today, there was an interesting team listed.
There was a mystery team dubbed MSK who would be making their debut in the Dusty. And who doesn’t love a good mystery team? Turns out, we wouldn’t have to wait for long to learn who they are. They were scheduled to be in action tonight’s first round bouts.
The prevailing guess was Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz of the Rascalz group, who were last working in Impact but recently signed to NXT. That guess proved correct.
The duo debuted with new names, Xavier going by Wes Lee and Wentz going by Nash Carter, to face enemies turned partners Jake Atlas an Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. These two were great opponents for MSK given they can keep up with the athleticism of Lee & Carter.
A couple of examples of what the newcomers can do:
Using their exciting style, the newcomers defeated Scott & Atlas to advance to round two, where they’ll face the winner’s of Killian Dain/Drake Maverick vs. August Grey/Curt Stallion.
This was a strong start for MSK, who should do exciting things throughout this tournament.
