Matt Hardy was probably the most talked about member of the AEW roster last Saturday night during All Out... and that doesn’t even count his wife, Reby.
In all seriousness, the spot which resulted in Hardy’s head smashing off the concrete - and the fact he was allowed to continue his Broken Rules match with Sammy Guevara - has been one of the hottest topics in the wrestling world all week. Tony Khan and Matt denied he’d suffered a concussion. Reby and most of the audience’s eyes disagreed.
That was the backdrop as he returned on Dynamite tonight (Sept. 9).
Hardy started by thanking all the fans. He said he’d been put through a battery of tests, but didn’t mention a diagnosis. He told us his shirt may say he won’t die, but he knows how lucky he is. Matt pointed out Reby and their youngest son Bartie in the crowd at Daily’s Place. He waved to his sons Maxell and Wolfie watching at home. Then he apologized to them all for scaring them at All Out.

The legend admitted he wasn’t cleared, but he vowed to return once he is. And Hardy announced his plan to pursue a singles championship as soon as he is.
Wonderful news: @MATTHARDYBRAND will make a full recovery. He wants to chase his first #AEW Championship, too!#AEWDynamite is available on https://t.co/h417vbFQL6 in select international markets from #FITE pic.twitter.com/98VuDh8LP4
