AEW is dealing with a potential outbreak of COVID-19 right now. Multiple wrestlers have tested positive, including Lance Archer.
Just a short while ago, Ben Carter revealed on Twitter that he also has the coronavirus.
Carter impressed wrestling fans worldwide with his performances this week on AEW Dark and late night Dynamite. His match against Scorpio Sky on the latter show was probably the best AEW match of the week. Carter is not currently signed with AEW, but many fans are hoping that these eye-opening performances will persuade AEW to ink him to a deal.
Carter thanked the fans for their overwhelming support, before letting everyone know that he has COVID-19:

Afterwards, Carter defended AEW’s safety protocols for dealing with the global pandemic:
AEW carry out strict testing and don’t let anyone on the premises without a negative test result. I tested negative each time I was there.

I doubt that his assurances will be enough to stop all the sloppy shop callbacks going on right now.
AEW has yet to issue any official statement about their potential COVID-19 outbreak.
