Chris Jericho didn’t take Joey Janela seriously as his opponent for tonight’s (Sept. 2) episode of Dynamite. Last week, Jericho referred to Janela as a “tune up”, and this week he called the Bad Boy “a sacrifice.” Jericho invited Orange Cassidy to sit ringside to witness his greatness. Cassidy has been feuding with Jericho throughout the summer in a feud that will end with a Mimosa Mayhem match at All Out, coming up this Saturday, Sept. 5.
Jericho delivered on his word, completely obliterating Janela and winning by submission. He even wore an Orange Cassidy t-shirt while doing it. After the match, Jericho exposed the turnbuckle and rammed Janela’s head into it. Janela was busted open, and Jericho then repeatedly punched the bloody wound. Jericho used Janela’s blood to stain the Orange Cassidy t-shirt that he was wearing. That’s when Cassidy came to life and rushed Jericho in the ring. This chaos turned into a brawl, with Jericho and Jake Hager going at it with Cassidy and Sonny Kiss.
Le Champion bailed from the ring. Cassidy reacted by taking a bottle of A Little Bit of the Bubbly, and pouring it out into the ring with a thumbs down.
