Jon Moxley tricked MJF’s lawyer, Mark Sterling, into a match that main evented tonight’s (Sept. 2) episode of Dynamite. Moxley has gotten the upperhand on MJF for several weeks in a row leading up to their world championship match this Saturday, Sept. 5, at All Out. Therefore it seemed like this episode needed to end with Moxley having his ass handed to him by MJF. But how could that happen when he was facing MJF’s hapless lawyer?
Moxley’s finishing move will be banned at All Out, so you knew the lawyer was going to eat at least one Paradigm Shift in this match. That’s exactly what happened, leading to an easy win for Moxley.
That’s when MJF’s bodyguard, Wardlow, attacked the champ. MJF came out on his walker, ditched it to reveal that he’s healthy, and mounted Moxley with vicious punches. The heels continued their assault, and MJF then opened Moxley up with a strike from his Dynamite diamond ring. Blood poured out of Moxley’s head, with MJF biting the wound and wiping the champ’s blood all over his own face, in a rather disgusting scene.
