Will Hobbs is already part of the AEW world title story

Will Hobbs had the longest survival time during the Casino Battle Royal at All Out 2020, which meant that AEW must have something of significance planned for him.

Well, it didn’t take long to find out what those plans are. Hobbs was officially added to the AEW roster earlier today, and now he’s already part of the world championship story between Jon Moxley and Lance Archer.

On tonight’s (Sept. 16) episode of Dynamite, Archer made an alliance with Taz’s boys, Brian Cage and Ricky Starks, to help take the world title from Moxley on AEW’s anniversary show next month. Moxley was jumped from behind by Starks and Cage, and that’s when Hobbs came running out of nowhere to rescue the champ. Moxley grabbed a mic and hyped up his new ally like only he can:

Hobbs will now join Moxley and Darby Allin for a six man tag next week (Sept. 23) on Dynamite against Archer, Cage, and Starks.
