AEW Rankings (Sep. 16, 2020): Holding steady

AEW released their latest rankings (Sep. 16, 2020). Let’s check out the movers and shakers.

Men:

AEW

No changes for the men this week. Don’t expect any movement for quite some time. #1 Lance Archer is scheduled for a title shot against Jon Moxley at the Dynamite anniversary show on October 14. Outside of that, there are no other imminent top 5 clashes at the moment. Darby Allin will probably want revenge on #2 Brian Cage and #4 Cody Rhodes will want the same on TNT champ Mr. Brodie Lee, but there are no signs yet of those matches being scheduled. Maybe #3 MJF and #5 Scorpio Sky can have a mini feud in the meantime.

Women:

AEW

No changes for the women either this week. Women’s champ Hikaru Shida got into Nyla Rose’s business to protect Tay Conti last week, so perhaps it is time for the rematch in that feud. The anniversary show would make sense as a potential date. If Shida wins, that would leave her open to wrestle Big Swole or another outside challenger at the Full Gear PPV on November 7.

Tag Team:

AEW

Make it a clean sweep for no changes across the board this week. At least there is hope for tag team movement next week. #2 Best Friends will battle #5 Santana & Ortiz in a parking lot fight tonight on Dynamite. FTR also wrestles against Jurassic Express, but that will be a non-title affair. Another tag match is Private Party versus Chris Jericho & Jake Hager. If Santana & Ortiz stumble, they could be replaced by a winning team from Dynamite.

Do you agree with AEW’s rankings this week? If not, what would you change?
