WWE.com

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • According to PW Insider, the original plan for the Asuka vs. Mickie James match was for the latter to tap to the Asuka Lock, so even though the finish on Raw was unplanned, the end result was always going to be Asuka winning.
  • They also say it’s been in the plans for Asuka to move on to a program with Zelina Vega, and it’s expected they’ll be booked for Clash of Champions.
  • WrestleVotes says WWE put together a team to see about running outdoor venues for TV tapings after the contract with Amway Center expires.
  • Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that he was told Paul Heyman being replaced could be bad news for Andrade and Aleister Black’s pushes and it appears that could be coming to fruition.
  • He also said Jeff Hardy’s new deal with WWE is likely for anywhere from 3 to 5 years.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you’d like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. And check our weekly Rumor Look Back here to keep track of how often rumors turn out to be correct.
