Bellator wants to sign Brock Lesnar for a dream fight

Among the more intriguing landing spots for free agent Brock Lesnar is Bellator, the AEW (or probably more the Impact) to UFC’s WWE. I mean, it’s where Jake Hager and Bobby Lashley last fought, so just think of the carny-tastic possibilities!

When asked about signing the former WWE and UFC Heavyweight champ, Bellator’s President Scott Coker told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani he’s interested. And Coker has one particular, slightly less sideshow-y fight he’d like to make for Brock, against someone Bellator already does business with - MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko.

Emelianko is one of the biggest names in mixed martial arts, and the biggest to never fight for UFC. That’s why the heavyweight super fight between Fedor and Brock’s never been a possibility... until now.

Sure, a battle of rusty 43 year olds isn’t what fans had in mind when they were salivating at the prospect of Lesnar vs. Emelianko a decade ago. But it would still sell a lot of PPV.

Brock last fought in 2016, a bout that is officially a no contest due to pre and in-competition drug tests he failed. Fedor defeated former UFC Light Heavyweight titleholder (and TNA talent) Rampage Jackson in December of last year.

Any of my fellow scripted and unscripted fight hands interested in seeing Emelianko/Lesnar in 2021?
