Eric Bischoff returns to TNT for the first time in 20 years

There was a debate tonight (Aug. 5) on Dynamite between Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy, with a special surprise moderator. That surprise moderator turned out to be Eric Bischoff, the former top executive of World Championship Wrestling, who had not appeared on TNT since WCW’s demise roughly 20 years ago.

The debate went on as scheduled, with Jericho doing almost all of the talking about how great he is, and Orange Cassidy not even trying to get a word in. Well, at least not until the topic of rising sea levels came up, which it turns out is right in Cassidy’s wheelhouse:

Jericho continued his boastful shtick for a while until Freshly Squeezed finally told him to shut the hell up. Cassidy doesn’t care about this debate, but he does care about his upcoming rematch (next week on Dynamite, Aug. 12) against Le Champion. Cassidy explained why this is the biggest match of Jericho’s career:

And with that, Cassidy was declared the winner of the debate by Bischoff. Jericho was irate about Bischoff’s decision and then put a beatdown on Cassidy, with a large assist from Jake Hager.

What do you think happens if Chris Jericho loses and his embarrassed by the guy who puts his hands in his pockets?
