It was first mentioned by Chris Jericho on his Saturday Night Special streaming show, and AEW has confirmed it. Former WWE NXT Superstar Taynara Conti will be a part of “The Deadly Draw” - and she’s wrestling in the first match of the company’s Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament on YouTube tonight (Mon., Aug. 3) at 7 p.m. Eastern.
Conti was let go as part of WWE’s profit-maximizing April cuts.

As you can see in that tweet, the 25 year old Brazilian who competed in both Mae Young Classic tournaments isn’t the only ex-WWE performer in the match. Ariane “Cameron” Andrew will team with Nyla Rose against Conti & Anna Jay.
Beyond that, we don’t know a ton about the tournament. Teams are chosen via a random draw, thus “The Deadly Draw” subtitle. Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer says Brandi Rhodes & Allie will compete as The Nightmare Sisters, and Ivelisse & Diamante will team-up for the tourney. But that still leaves four other teams unknown.
We also haven’t seen a bracket. But maybe we’ll get answers tonight. Check back with cSs for the stream and a review of night one’s action.
