Tonight’s (Aug. 27) episode of Dynamite began with a gauntlet match to determine the challengers for Hangman Page and Kenny Omega’s AEW tag titles on Sept. 5 at All Out. The main allure here was the possibility of the Young Bucks going toe-to-toe with FTR for the first time ever, at the end of the gauntlet. That’s a pay-per-view caliber match, so surely AEW would have an angle planned to prevent it from taking place on television, right?
Yep!
Following up on a backstage segment last week where FTR planted some seeds in Page’s mind about the trustworthiness of Nick and Matt Jackson, Page came down to the ring and screwed the Bucks over in the second match of the gauntlet.
What the hell is @theAdamPage doing?!

Page looked reluctant, but still went ahead with screwing the Bucks over.
That helped the Best Friends advance to the final match of the gauntlet, against FTR. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler prevailed, earning a title shot at All Out.
What did you think of this angle between Page and the Young Bucks?
