Breezango holds gold in WWE for the first time ever

Tyler Breeze & Fandango won a triple threat match on the Kickoff of TakeOver: XXX to earn a right at Imperium’s tag team titles.

They got that match on tonight’s show. It would be another chance for these men to hold gold in the WWE system. Despite long careers in WWE and NXT, neither man had ever held any gold in the company, singles or tag.

That changed tonight.

They endured a well oiled machine in Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner. Any time they seemed to get an advantage, Imperium would take the legs out from under them.

But the babyfaces finally fired back and in the end, Breeze delivered a series of superkicks and Fandango delivered a top rope leg drop to both Barthel & Aichner to get the win.

The boys celebrated by dancing & posing on the announce desk, in front of their old friend Wade Barrett on commentary. Very on brand.

With NXT UK returning, it’s possible Imperium is going to play a major part there and spend less time on Wednesdays.
